Researchers say new process can lead to cost-competitive biofuel

Researchers at Purdue University have developed a method for producing biomass-based fuels that can compete price-wise with crude oil, the school said. The H2Bioil method creates energy-packed carbon molecules by subjecting biomass to pressurized hydrogen and heating it to about 900 degrees Fahrenheit.
